What is 3D printing and why do we use it?
3D printing, otherwise known as additive manufacturing has been around for quite some time now, to be exact, the first additive manufacturing equipment and materials date back as far as the 1980s. In short, 3D Printing is a process for making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, typically by laying down many successive thin layers of material. It brings a digital object (its CAD representation) into its physical form by adding layer by layer of materials. Although the technology itself is still at its ‘infant’ stage, it already provides us with a wide range of possibilities when it comes to building drones.
What started as a new hobby for some of our team members, quickly became a massive part of DroneMedia. Our team has been building various projects throughout our five-year journey, during it, we’ve discovered that this piece of technology is simply irreplaceable in the drone industry. The best part about it is COMPLETE FREEDOM. Whether it’s a broken part or a custom-built drone for your event – we’ve got you covered.
